Life In A Box

Random thought of the day:
Do you ever think about the saying or song from Cinderella, "A Dream is a wish your heart makes"??? I mean honestly-what does that even mean? Yes, I have thought long and hard about it. Particularly because I'm not a huge fan of making these so called "wishes". It was once said, "Many of us spend half our time wishing for things we could have if we didn't spend half our time wishing".
If truth be told-its kinda just a silly girl thing because Cinderella had a dream about her "one true love". Because it really depends what you dream anyways. If you dream that someone dies, well I hope that is not a desire of your heart(:
Your heart and your mind are two very interesting things. They work together in the most interesting way.
There is a difference in what your heart wants and what your heart feels.
Dreaming is not always the same as wishing.
Your heart and your mind can dream just as much as you can.
Think about it.

Well-go figure, both the computers at Brandon's crashed so I haven't been able to keep an update so here I am!
I officially started at Hollister yesterday. Woot. I get to listen to [almost] great music at work and fold and straighten cute clothes. [Did I mention-all the hott guys shop and sometimes work at Hollister?] Its tiring being on my feet for long periods of time but thats why I'm working out while I'm here too. [I shall return to EAC as a new woman!] Jk....sorry-that is I shall return feeling stronger and a little lost weight(:
Anyway-Hollister. Yeah I think I'll like it alright. I'm still searching and looking, and looking and searching, and a little bit of interviewing, for a 2nd job.
In the meantime, I TRY not to be bored. Jennifer, has all 10 seasons of Friends. So I started watching that show. Its actually one of the most hilarious shows...ever. Then again-so is The Office, which I have yet to watch as well. I have got to hang out with a couple of my friends. And I did go to the temple today to do baptisms. That was SO nice. I loved it. I haven't been to the temple since before I moved to Thatcher. Thatcher is of course in between both AZ temples so I never really had time to drive a few hours. So I definantly plan on going several times this summer to make up for that! I love being there so much. My testimony of temples truly is strengthened when I attend that sacred place.
Anyway, I'm trying to keep my time filled with good things. I did hit Milano's Music today(just down the street from the temple), to get some manuscript paper so that I may finally start writing some more music this summer. I have the time and lots to do. I need to get used to working hard on my music. Since I officially decided to be a music major, music has to become most of what I do, especially during the school year. I have several goals I want to meet and I think I finally have the motivation to reach those goals.
Well, I have gone on too long in this blog and have things to do!
Hope you all are having a wonderful week! Good Riddens!

Valley Girl or Not?

Random thought for the day: Red. This particular red is so not my color I decided. I decided that when the last time I wore that color, and 2 people mentioned that it looked terrible. Its actually a true fact. Some things just clash with a redhead. Maybe when I add color to my hair this summer, there will be less clashing.

....dot dot dot.....
So I hope I'm not becoming a valley girl. Its only temporary. Though SOME may dissagree about me becoming a valley girl(David..ahem...(:). I have landed a job at a clothing store where all the rich kids shop, and I am starting to drive like a valley person. Don't worry Mom-I'm being safe! I got a part time job working at Hollister. This is pretty much what it looks like outside. Go figure-they make it look cool so you actually want to go in and buy their clothes! JUST kidding....they do have really awesome clothes and I do get a pretty sweet discount. Infact-for being a new employee, I get a 50% off a few things for starting out, so that I will actually own something from the store for the first time. I start sometime this week hopefully, or next week. (I'm "on call" this week.) I am still looking for a second part time job because min wage is not very much money for a college student(: I have interviews at 2 other clothing stores tomorrow and wednesday, plus I put in several other applications. So it shouldn't be a problem trying to get a second job. I'm getting used to things down here. I'm hoping to get to hang out with some of my friends this week. However-I have unfortunantly not got very much sleep the last few nights due to coughing. I either sucked in the valley air too much or am devoloping some sort of summer sickness-yay. But yay for water and reliv.
On another note, as some may have noticed, I started posting some of my lyrics here on my blog. Most people don't know that I have been writing lyrics since I was a freshman or sophmore in high school. If you wouldn't mind-I would love feedback on them sometimes. I have always been very self concious about my stuff but I was encouraged to start putting them out there for people to see. And at some point I'll probably try to make a cd with my LDS music I have written. Its a goal anways! so yeah-there you have it.
I'm off for the evening-I'm watching The Producers tonight on TV>I love that my brother has movie channels! And that movie is definantly one of my all time favorites!

New place, new adventure?!?!?

Its me! I am officially moved in with my brother and Jen in Mesa. And its already too hot for me(: Finals went well. I pulled a C in my biology class. Tough tough-I worked through though and have learned a lot about studying hard! I got A's in drama and choir-go figure. I'm definantly glad that this long year is over now. It just barely hit me as I drove to Mesa today that it is summer! I'm free to fly and not keep a schedule-except for work of course-wherever that will be. However, this summer is different from all other summers. I'm seperated from my best friend Emily for the first time for one thing, (she will be in california), and my family. Here are some ways I am looking at this new "adventure":
It will be an adventure because i'm in the one place that I swore I would never move to.
It will be an adventure because I haven't the slightest clue what i'm doing here or which step to take first. But I feel that it was the right thing to move down here.
It will be an adventure because I have a plythera of job choices. (I love that word-plythera!)
It will be an adventure because I get to "ward hop". Aka: Go to a few different wards. I'm not having my records sent anywhere for the short time. So I get to meet some new friends!
It will be an adventure because I am living with my older half brother-whom I have never really been close to, and now I finally have that chance.
It will be an adventure because I have no air conditioning in my car, and I'm in the hottest place ever!
Basically, i'm in for quite the adventure! I'm sure I could think of more reasons why, but I'm pretty tired at the moment! So, tomorrow begins a day of job searching. I will probably also go spend some time with my sister and her family and maybe hook up with a couple of friends. I'll be sure to keep you all updated on how things go in this new step of my life. I'm excited for summer and i'm hopin it will be a lot of fun as well! Talk to you all soon!

Near the Finish Line

This race I have been running all year is near an end! Woot Woot! 2 finals to take and then I'm off to another step in my life(as I'm calling it): moving to Mesa.
This weekend I went to Show Low. I attending the high schools musical "Crazy For You". It was really great! Its a play with all the music written by George and Ira Gershwin. I loved it and they did a really good job with it. I went with my friend David, who is from Snowflake. We had a great time and laughed through pretty much the whole show. (Gotta love comedies!) I kinda miss doing the high school shows! But it was fun to watch anyways. Other than that, I just kinda hung out with the family, and a couple of old friends. The new house my family moved into is pretty nice. My mom is very excited about it. Hey mom-you just loved my housewarming gift the most huh?! It was very odd going home to a house I had never been to! But I had a bed to sleep in and my mom fed me(: It was nice to be home for a weekend.
Tomorrow(after I sleep in!), my roomies and I get to start cleaning up the apartment! Luckily, for a small fee, we get to leave all of our stuff here in the apartment, since all 4 of us will be returning next semester. We still have to do some major cleaning though. (Who KNOWS what is under my bed right now). My first final is tomorrow afternoon, along with a review for my other final. I will work this week and then head to Mesa on Thursday evening. I am really getting excited about moving down there, though kinda nervous. Honestly-I have a lot of mixed feelings. This goes to show that driving by yourself for 3 hours, I get to think to myself-which is not always a good thing! Wow-that was kinda random. I'm sure it will be fine. I feel its the right thing to be going down there so i'm sure everything will work out! It will be good to hang out with a lot of my friends that live down there though. I'm not entirely sure what this summer holds for me, but I [think] I'm ready for about anything.

Well I think I'm going to go chilax for the rest of the evening!
Have a wonderful week everyone!
