On the road again

Random Thought of the Day:
Ok, so today I don't really have a "thought" per se, but here is a recipe I thought you all might like to try sometime!I sorta invented it myself.

BACON/CHICKEN SNACK
~Get biscuits or bisquick to make biscuits.
~Before cooking them, cook a few pieces of bacon and break them into little pieces.
~Cook chicken, or get canned chicken, and break that into pieces as well.
~Put the chicken and bacon pieces in each biscuit. Just pieces all squished all over them. Then place in the oven for about 10 minutes or so.
~When they are finished cooking, place your choice of warm cream of mushroom/chicken soup all over biscuits, or sour cream, or ranch dressing. Whatever sounds good to you, or just eat them plain. I at least reccomend a little butter melted on them.
I tried it today and it turned out pretty good! So go for it!

*Another week has gone by and I now am down to 4 weeks left til I return to EA! This past week has definantly had some ups and downs. Details that I will choose not to get into. But let me tell ya-the Lord has sure given me some comfort as always. I have done a lot of stupid things before, but I sure feel his forgiveness each time. I guess you could say that I'm learning more about learning from your mistakes. Such as life right? Many people, including myself, are always afraid of failing and messing up. But as my life motto goes, "Learn while you live, Love what you learn." As long as I try to strive and make everyday a good day, I'll be alright!

I worked every day this week almost and it was not too bad besides a few things happened. Friday was awesome because I had the whole day free. My friends Emily and Kevin came down here to hang out because our other friend-Sam West, got married. So we hung out all day on Friday and went to the reception Fri. night, as well as dinner at Olive Garden(:

After dinner, my other friend Adam, joined us to watch a movie at my house. It was fun and turned out to be a long night. Adam and I stayed up til 4 in the morning just talking! It was so fun! We hardly ever get to talk and have heart to hearts, so it was really nice.

About 6 hours later, I woke up very exausted and got ready to go to my sisters baby shower. She is having another boy in August! It was fun. We mostly just ate and talked and watched her open presents. She got a lot of really awesome stuff for the baby so she will be well off for a while!
After the shower, I of course went to work.
Then...Sunday! Woot! Yesterday I headed up with my friend Sterling to Show Low/Snowflake. One of our friends, Travis, who I went to school with this last year and is one of my best friends, gave his "non" farewell mission talk. He did SO good! I'm so proud of him for making the choice to serve. He will be going to Guatemala! I'm going to miss him so so much though! It was a little sad saying goodbye to him. But he is definantly doing the right thing.
It was a lot of fun though because we hung out with Felicia-she is amazing! And also-Curtis, who I also go to school with, was there. He was Travis's roommate last year so it was really awesome to see him. After sacrament meeting, Me, Sterling and Curtis all went to Felicias to hang out until the setting apart and dinner that Travis was having at his house. We went to that and just had a lot of fun! I really needed a good day yesterday and I got it! My friends are so awesome.
Then, Sterling and I went back to my house in Show Low and stayed the night and arrived back a couple hours ago. My grandma was also in Show Low visiting so that was great!
So all in all, it was a really great weekend.
Now i'm back and ready to finish off my summer with a bang I suppose!
You all have a wonderful week!

Thanks for the Lemonade

Random thought of the day:
"When life gives you lemons, make lemonade." I recently heard this really cool song by a guy named Chris Rice called "Lemonade." The chorus says:
*Life gave me lemonade and I can’t imagine why.
Born on a sunny day, beneath a tangerine sky.
I live life without pretending.
I’m a sucker for happy endings.
Thanks for the lemonade. Thanks for the lemonade!*

I think its a cool song. I mean-its kind of a cute love song but it really kina makes you think also about well, the lemonade of life! Life sometimes throws lemons at you really hard as to knock you out. And sometimes they do have to hit you that hard for you to realize what to do. That meaning-making decisions, getting through a good or bad time, being friends with someone, learning a lesson,....... Lemons come and lemons go. But you should always take a minute to make some lemonade and share it with those around you. Thats my random thoughts of the day!

5 weeks to go! Woot woot! Time after Time....I continue counting down. Work continues. I manage to try and enjoy it. Its amazing how great money can be, except the earning part of it(: At least for now. Until I have a career in my hands, gotta make do with what I can get I guess.

Yesterday, I got to hang out with my amazing Best Friend Cassidi! She is down here visiting her dad for the week so we pretty much spent the day together yesterday til I went to work. Daquiris, shopping, talking about our summer love lives, pictures, the works.

I miss my Cassidi already! Someday her and I are going back east.
Yesterday I also felt like junk. I woke up with serious neck and back pains due to....get this-Bowling! I went with my amazing friend Sterling a few nights ago and I felt the pain yesterday. Plus I have gotten a little congested and having headaches! And guess what? I have to sing on Sunday in sacrament meeting! So pray for me so that I will feel good and have a voice!
Anyway, life continues and I'm getting my first paycheck today. Woot woot!
Have a lovely weekend people.

Lets get out of this town tonight!

*Random Thought of the Day:
Recently, Glenn Beck spoke at the Freedom Festival in Utah. He had some very inspiring words about our country and how to deal with the issues. This was some of what he said:"All is well. We will make it. We are this countries next great dispensation of pioneers. It will be hard, it will be rough but oh-we will have this tale to tell. We have to be who we really are. The is found in just waking up......It is the people of this country who are the real strength and good. WE THE PEOPLE! That's the answer!"

Such powerful words. You can tell he was probably talking to a bunch of mormons(: But you know-he might as well because he still represents us as members of our church for this country. I love when he said, "All is Well. We will make it." This country is going to the dogs it seems, but look at those of us as members of the church! We have the Gospel. We have the blessings and promises of tithing when it comes to money issues-we have prayer so that we can pray for those serving and leading our country, as well as those who may be less fortunate-we have scriptures, which lead and guide us in so many ways-we have the Lord always there to be a friend and a father-and above all, we have the truth. The truth that though the world around us is a mess at times, as long as we live righteously, have faith, and trust in God, none of the world around us matters! Eventually the world will come to an end anyway, and if we are living righteously, we will enter into the Celestial Kingdom with our Father in Heaven. We just have to live the best we can for now.*
HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!...Yesterday! I was missing Show Low and all its festivities that I have never missed out on, but I still had a pretty good Holiday. I started the day out by going running. I really need to do that more often. I'm trying to get into a habit, but I'm kinda lazy sometimes! I'll definantly work on it more when I get back to school for sure. Anyway, So after getting ready for the day, I went and hung out with my friend Adam, who I go to school with. He lives in Chandler. We went and saw the movie Hancock.I must say-I really liked it! It was really funny and had a good story. Will Smith can pretty much make anything good! A lot of action in it and PS-Will Smith is SO incredibly good looking! I wouldn't reccomend it for younger kids however because of the language. Too much language I thought. But it was still good and entertaining! After the movie, Adam and I walked around the Chandler Mall and got some ice cream at good ol Coldstone! We had a great time. Then I had to go to work. BUT-Seeing as how it was of course extremely slow, my boss released me at 8:15! So I then joined another good friend, Sterling, and we went and caught the last part of some amazing fireworks! Then Sterling took me to Red Robin for dinner. Good food there btw! Then we just hung out for a while at his house. It was a pretty good day!
In other news, this week has been good! AND FAST! Even better. I'm thrilled that time is going by so fast. I have gotten used to my job and I get along really well with my co-workers. And speaking of jobs, I got my job back at Hollister! I decided that I really needed a little more income, so I will be working there again as well. Probably not as many hours just like before, but it will be a little extra money, and will also give me something to do during some daytimes since I work the resteraunt at nights. I'll start probably next week.
I haven't been doing much else besides work. Last night was the first time that i've really gone out and done something so I really enjoyed myself!
Well, I hope everyone had a great Independence Day! Have a fantastic weekend!
