TRADITION!

Day 1 and 2 are done with Fiddler on the Roof! Woot woot! Opening night went really well(: Quite a large crowd, which included my family(: The 2nd night went even better! Outstanding should be the word! We had almost a full house, which mostly consisted of alumni. There was a reunion/party for Dr. Crae-our director and lead of the show, because he will be retiring after this semester is over. He is amazing! He basically started the drama program at EAC, quite some years ago and so many came to show appreciati0n to him. So, last night, with the alumni there, they absolutely loved us, which gave us a lot of energy! Completely awesome! I unfortunantly have been sick again the last few days. Due to lack of sleep from rehearsals, my immune system decided to crash the day before we opened. Lucky me! But I did the best I could, sucking on cough drops and drinking juice and water, and it turned out alright! I'm excited that we have 4 more shows left. It has really been a lot of fun and worth all the hard work. We have such an amazing cast and directors that have worked hard together! Above are some pictures of me and a few friends from the play-in costume(: (My roommate finally has internet on her computer, plus a scanner/printer so I can put pictures on here! yay!) I will put more on from the play, as I take more!

Other than this crazy past week I have had, life is going alright. The school year is winding down, which unfortunantly means finals, but soon, it will be summer! Not that I'm too excited to be working, but school definantly needs a break! My roommates and I will be in the same apartment next year. We figure we should stick together cuz we have a lot of good times here! Plus it means we can leave everything here over the summer! I am down to 9 credits for this semester. I dropped my math class....very long story-no details neeeded! But its giving me more time to focus on Biology and whatever else I have left going on with choir and such!
Anywho, life is good, when I'm not sick(:, and I'm learning a lot as I finish up my first year of college!
Have a great week everyone!

A recent day in the life of Rachelle

What a week! Ask my roommates, they have hardly seen me at all, except when I come home from rehearsal, tired and ready to go straight to bed! Other than that, I go go go like the energizer bunny, between work, school and rehearsal. However, we do open our show this coming Friday! If anyone is intersted in coming, the performance dates are Friday, Saturday and Monday-March 28, 29, and 31. As well as the following weekend, April 4, 5, and 7. Its going to be an awesome show!
I've managed to not stress out much this week! Its been a good week for the most part and I am enjoying one day at a time and keeping going with the play!

This weekend, after my rehearsal yesterday, I came home to Show Low for a quick trip! A good friend of mine from high school, Scott, came down for a visit from Utah so him, me and a couple other old friends hung out last night. It was a lot of fun. Scott is one of my best friends and I miss him a lot!We went to a favorite place in Snowflake called Trappers! They have the best pie on the mountain! Then we watched Save the Last Dance and Dejavu. Which by the way, Dejavu is a fantastic movie, starring Denzel Washington. I reccomend it if you like suspense and some action! So, its been a good week and weekend!

In other news, I decided that I'm moving to Mesa this summer. Just for the summer, but I'm doing it. Due to really no job opportunities in good ol Show Low, I will most likely be able to find more options in the valley. My older brother Brandon, and his fiance Jen, offered me a place to live because they have an extra bedroom at their house. They live in East Mesa, but close to a lot of things. I'm looking for a job at the moment, with my brothers help, and so hopefully things will work out with that! I'm excited though. Not for the heat of Pheonix/Mesa, but to experience something different. I also have other family and friends down there that I can be around more! Kris and Jessica-that means you(:

Well, I hope you are having a Happy Easter!

Spring Break has been awesome! So so relaxing and not having to worry about a schedule(: I am highly dissapointed that it basically ends tomorrow. Here's a rundown of my week!

Last Friday, I went home to Show Low and hung out until Wednesday. Basically those few days consisted of being with family, a few close friends, and even more than that, I read Twilight (Book 3) and watched the entire Season 2 of Gilmore Girls!

Wednesday, I headed down with Emily to Mesa where we have been staying with my HS seminary teacher and his family. Wednesday we hung out with them, my good friend Jeanie(:, and Brooke and Nathan-my cousins! I was very excited to see them since they have been living in Colorado and I have not seen them in a while. They are finally moving back to AZ this summer however so yay!
Thursday, we mostly hung out with the Hofelings and then that night, we attended the Annual Easter Pageant at the Mesa Temple! It was AWESOME! I loved it! I have only been once before but didn't really remember it. Very nice program.
Friday we went with Jeanie, who is attending ASU,and toured the ASU campus. I must say-its a very nice and big school. I might even consider it after EA...maybe. Depends if I want to live in Pheonix or not(: Anyway, Friday night was fun. I went over to my brother Brandon and his fiance Jennifers house. His mom and my sister were there and some of his other family, doing a birthday dinner for him so I went over for that. I tried shrimp for the first time and it wasn't half bad(:
Today, after helping sister hofeling feed breakfast to her beehives, Emily and I met up with Sam West-our best friend from High School and went shopping! It was super fun! We shopped and then I watched Sam and Emily play soccer with a few guys from Sam's ward. After that, we met up with my friend Adam from school and got ice cream!
Now, I'm just relaxing and we will leave early tomorow morning to go back to Thatcher....:( Oh well, back to life. Just 6 more weeks of school! And only 3 more weeks til the play is done!
Have a great weekend people!

In the Twilight(:

So I started reading the infamous book series-Twilight. Oh my goodness. I have heard a lot about them, especially from Whitney and finally-I gave in and started reading the first out of the 4 books last Thursday. I have not been able to put it down since. Actually-I finished the first one today. The book is about vampires, which I am not into at all, but that doesn't matter! You don't have to be to enjoy these books! Completely incredible is all I can say! And they are making movies about them which is way awesome! Its a young adult book, but I reccomend it for anyone.....for the most part. Twilight is as popular as Harry Potter was, but much much better! Ah-I love it! I'm a little obsessed infact. Just ask my roommates. Its become dangerous for me to read because I do it while walking and eating and even sleeping. Just kidding about the sleeping part....(: But I did dream about it in a way the other night. This book is that good!

My weekend was great. Well, it was busy, but good. I hung out with some friends and just watched movies and was lazy on Friday. Saturday I had rehearsal of course which was long and boring....then I got some homework done and went 4-wheeling with a big group of people up in the mountains! It was so awesome! I had lots of fun! It was kinda cold cuz it was at night, but still a blast! I have not been riding in a really long time. I decided that one of the qualities I wouldn't mind in a husband, is an interest in 4 wheelers. Just so I can ride sometimes(: Going this weekend brought back memories of the quad we had when I was younger. Also memories of when I ran into a tree on the 4 wheeler at the age of 10....leaving a big dent in the front, and a sprained wrist on my part. Ah...good times!

Other than that, I slept a lot as planned. Mostly on Sunday. I took a 2 hour nap and was still tired! I guess you can't really catch up per se...but it was still nice!
I am excited for this coming weekend. Friday I get to head up to Show Low to begin my Spring Break! I am going to stay there until Wednesday and then go to the valley with Emily for the remaining time. I may try to job search a bit since I'm looking at moving there for this summer. And I have several friends living down there that I'd like to see! So the fact that I won't be in school for a week is very exciting! I'll need the break before I come back to pretty much performances for Fiddler. Which by the way, is coming along well. Despite the long rehearsals, I think it will be a great show!
Life continues to be busy, but getting better I think. I'm doing slighly better in Bio and Math. I hope things continue that way!
P.S. I quit voice lessons. Something had to be sacrificed and that was my only option.....kinda sad, but hey-things and less stressful now that I don't have to try and find time to practice.
Have a great week everyone!
